This is unreal. What are the chances that both houses we’ve been ready to make an offer on go off the market the weekend before the offer is made? Elmwood Park… gone. WTF?

Well it turns out that the house was snatched up before we were able to do anything. Pretty upset as we both fell in love with that house. Oh well.
Delayed at the Starting Line
I stumbled upon my first (and hopefully only) setback in our home buying adventure. I went to my bank today and was told that when she ran the numbers, I don’t make enough to get a conventional mortgage. Without going into specifics, it’s something like 40% of your income can be allocated to the mortgage. [...]
