Originally, we had hoped to move in this past weekend. Getting the floors redone delayed that by a week… but it looks like it will be worth the wait.
Despite all the staining, Mirek from Mirek’s Floors managed to save probably over 90% of the floors. The floor in The Wife’s’ office was so badly stained and damaged by water, that our only real options
were to either stain it as-is (which after a good sanding still looked 100% better than how it used to,) or replace half the floor.
We opted to replace the severely damaged portion.

Stain goes on tomorrow. Sealer and varnish done by weekend. According to Mirek, we can feel safe about moving things permanently onto the floor by Wednesday next week.
