So, two and one-half weeks behind us, here is what’s been accomplisihed thus far:
- Front yard cleaned up of bushes, shrubs, and trees we did not want. Chipped into dumpster
- Back yard cleaned up for bushes, shrubs, and trees we did not want. Chipped into dumpster
- Dilapidated patio room torn down
- Sidewalk, patio, and stairs in back removed
- Gutters cleaned and repaired
- Flagstone removed and cleaned
- Determined what windows and doors are going in
- Determined what furnace and air conditioner is going in
- Determined and bought appliances for kitchen and laundry
- All wallpaper removed from walls and ceilings, washed, patched, and primed almost all 5,300 square feet of space
- Gutted bathroom 100% and removed closet from joining room for more space
- Removed entire ceiling in one office and most of one wall
- Removed all floorboards and sanding has begun
- Removed all kitchen appliances
- Removed all kitchen tile
- Prepped all kitchen cabinets for sanding
- Installed new mailbox (got new mail already too!)
- Gutted entire basement drywall from walls and ceiling
- Removed furnace, 1950′s fuel-oil tank, washer and dryer from basement
- Filed every bit of 40 yard dumpster of waste
- Laid out patio deck, flagstone patio landing and walkway. Began roughing in flagstone landing
It’s been a very busy and progressive two weeks.
